Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the RM of Indian Head No. 156 intends to adopt two bylaws under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 171/90, known as the Development Plan, and Bylaw No. 172/90, known as the Zoning Bylaw. INTENT: The proposed bylaw amendments will allow for additional residential subdivisions per quarter section of land subject to identified criteria. AFFECTED LAND: The proposed bylaw amendment to the Development Plan, Bylaw No. 207/2023, will affect all land within the RM of Indian Head. The proposed bylaw amendment to the Zoning Bylaw, Bylaw No. 208/2023, will affect all land within the A-Agricultural Zone. REASON: The reason for the amendments is to accommodate a proposed subdivision in the SW ¼ section 25-18-13-W2M as shown on a plan of proposed subdivision dated March 24, 2023 and signed by Malcom Vanstone, S.L.S. The proposed subdivision is located immediately north of the Town of Indian Head adjacent to Highway 56 as shown below within the bod dashed line. PUBLIC INSPECTION: Any person may inspect the bylaw at the RM of Indian Head No. 156 office located at 719 Grand Ave. in the Town of Indian Head during regular office hours. Copies are available at cost. PUBLIC HEARING: Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaws. Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the municipal office before the hearing. AFFECTED LAND The affected land is that within the dashed line known as Parcel B within the W 25-18-13 S2. REASON The reason for the amendment is to allow a residential development within this site. PUBLIC INSPECTION Any person may inspect the bylaw at the RM of Indian Head No. 156 office at 719 Grand Avenue, Indian Head on any weekday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Copies are available at cost.
