The Indian Head and District Fire Department is jointly owned by the Town of Indian Head and the RM of Indian Head. 
In adherence to Bylaw 143-2009, should a fire occur within the RM of Indian Head, an automatic charge of $550 for each hour will be charged per call, plus all wages and other expenses the department may incur during that fire call.  These rates apply to ratepayers of the RM of Indian Head only. 

False alarm calls, will be billed at a rate of $250. A false alarm is considered to be a fire or emergency response call for which fire-fighting or emergency equipment has been called, but for which no fire or emergency situation exists.

Any unpaid fire charges are added to the taxes of the property owner at the end of the calendar year.
