Plant Health Network: The purpose of the Plant Health Network, is to establish human resources in each of SARM’s 6 Divisions to provide support, education and training to RM’s on how to best manage the agricultural crop pests, prohibited and noxious weeds that all landowners are required to manage under The Pest Control Act and The Weed Control Act in Saskatchewan. Program Guidelines can be found on the SARM Website, or at this link.
Beaver Control Program: SARM administers a 50:50 cost-share rebate program with the RM to control the beaver population within the RM. Beavers must be removed by a licensed fur trapper and notification provided to the RM. Registered trappers must use this form to report all beaver removed.
Rat Control Program: SARM administers a 50:50 cost-share rebate program with the RM to control the rat population within the RM. The RM contracts this service to our Pest Control Officer, who inspects yard sites with and without homes to ensure there are no signs of rat activity. The RM will also supply products to landowners to treat their own sites at minimal cost.
